Open Level Whacking covers the West Coast approach towards arm drills, combos, and freestyle. This class aims to introduce dancers of all levels to the history and culture of Punking/Whacking while emphasizing the importance of community and remembering the social and historical context of W*acking as an art form. Though class level may vary from class to class, class-takers can expect anything from W*acking choreography to drills and conditioning.

Open Level Campbellocking offers a comprehensive exploration of Campbellocking vocabulary as it is currently practiced, while also reconnecting dancers with Don Campbellock’s story. The goal is to honor Don’s dance and encourage participants to incorporate it into their own unique styles.

Suitable for all levels, the class will involve studying footage, physical conditioning, and practicing the incorporation of Campbellocking into dance through choreography and freestyle. Da’Quan Fulford grew up in Killeen Texas and currently lives in Los Angeles, California. His credits include dancing for Missy Elliott, TLC, Kaytranada, Mary J Blige, Jozzy, Pharrell, Offset & more!

Jonathan “Boogz” Esguerra is a dancer from Houston, TX who was first introduced to dance as a child by watching MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew, which sparked his interest in the art. He began his dance journey during his freshman year at Texas A&M University, where he discovered his love for dance through workshops before joining PhilSA Modern (@tamumodern), eventually serving as a choreographer, assistant director, and director.

Jon has performed and competed across Texas with multiple groups such as Vision, Diversecity (@diversecity.htx), and The Space (@cstat_thespace). Currently, he is a proud member of 2 teams out of Soreal Dance Studio (@sorealdancestudio), Family Ties (@familytieshtx) and Soreal (@soreal.co).
