Matt Kennedy

Matt Kennedy is a dancer, choreographer, and actor here in Austin, TX. Matt began his dance journey starting off in jazz dance classes while being a theater kid in high school, trying to not have two left feet. His focus swiftly moved towards choreographing, and through his training he now teaches in styles incorporating fundamentals of Hip Hop, Street jazz, House, Tutting, and Contemporary elements. Matt has trained under teachers such as Kenichi Kasamatsu, Deshawn DaPrince, Neil Schwartz, Gina Menichino, Carlos Neto, and more. Matt has worked, and continues to work in both the theater and commercial dance world, having worked commercially for companies like Zach Theater, Impact Arts, Akompany, Royal Thieves Co, Disney+, Blond Inc., Metal Umbrella Co., Might Swell Seltzer, and Roto Rooter. As well for music artists like Louis The Child, Chi Chi Gault, More Fatter, and Kendrick Lamar. Matt is currently a creative member and choreographer for Haley Sikes PSYCH! Dance Collective who produce creative and artistic work through media and live performance, leading with kindness, professionalism, and the goal to create impact through the love of the art form.
